During the Matsuri Fever! event held at the KCC Mall de Zamboanga rooftop held Friday, April 6, three pairs are selected to join the list of competitors vying for the title of this year’s Philippine representative to the World Cosplay Summit this August in Nagoya, Japan.

In the World Cosplay Summit Philippines qualifier held at Matsuri Fever!, Team Kurosu-Shiro (KS) got the third spot, Team Puddin’ got second and Team Weapon and Mask Destruction was hailed as the champion.

Team Kurosu-Shiro (KS) performed as Ainz Ooal Gown and Shalltear blood Fallen (Overlord), Team Puddin’ as Tokugawa Ieyasu and Mitsunari Ishida from Sengoku Basara and Team Weapon and Mask Destruction as Liu Bei and Lu Ling Qi from Dynasty Warriors 9.

The names of Team Puddin’ and Team Weapon and Mask Destruction have emerged in last year’s National Qualifiers held at the 16th Philippine ToyCon at the SMX Convention Center — Manila in Pasay City.

All three pairs are automatically included as finalists in the National Qualifiers to be held at the Nippon Industrial and Cultural Exchange at the Almendras Gym in Davao City on Sunday, April 29.

This is Matsuri Fever’s second edition since its launch last year in the same venue.
