This year’s Philippines to the World Cosplay Summit to be decided at annual pop culture event
It’s that time once again to gather the best cosplay pairs from select parts of the country to see who will be representing the Philippines in the 2019 World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya, Japan from July 27 to August 04.
Six teams from NCR, Central Visayas, Western Visayas, and Mindanao will duel for the coveted title at TOYCON 2019 during the last weekend of June:
NCR (Christmas Toy Fair 2018)
- Team Phoenix (Cardcaptor Sakura) — to perform fourth
Western Visayas (MASCFest 2019)
- Team Kazoku Saisei (Zenki) — to perform third
Central Visayas (Otakufest 2019)
- Team Class S (Sengoku Night Blood) — to perform last
- Team Zero (Castlevania: Mirrors of Fate) — to perform first
Mindanao (Mindanao Cosplay Summit 2018)
- Team Full House (Samurai X) — to perform second

This year’s National Finals will grace WCSPH Alumnae MingMiho (Team Sora no Katsuo) and Sergio Sta. Ana (Team Sekai), as well as Reika of Japan.
Reika-san will have meet-and-greet sessions at TOYCON 2019, as posted on Facebook.
TOYCON 2019 will be held at the SMX Convention Center on the weekend of June 28 to 30. It’s full hands on deck mode for me as a staff, so it’s better to see for yourself how this will unfolds. See you at TOYCON!
