A quick update, plus a renewed venture for 2017

Happy Lunar New Year, everyone!

It’s been a long time since I wrote to everyone. This week, I’ve just finished rendering my first video for 2017 — the In the Zone 2 Photoshoot in Makati — to be posted on AniZone, so set up your Facebook news feed to see their posts first.

Honestly, I was supposed to just take photos there, but since I got tapped by Naru (of Team AniZone) to be among their media partners, I decided to give it a go, ending my self-imposed ban on personal media partnerships for anime- and cosplay-related events.

For a six-minute video or so, it took me around 7 hours to convert the files to MP4, edit the video to pattern the song that I picked, render the file and so on, that’s aside from the four hours that we were having fun in the venue itself.

The output of the photographer-participants in the photoshoot are really great — and as for me, I can’t wait for this video to be seen. Looking forward to the third installment already.

On the other side of my life, I’m close to a year working as an event staff at Ex-Link Events (technically I’m a Marketing Services Associate), and this year, we finally pushed through in making videos.

Our COO Orly Ballesteros will share his knowledge on Events Management to everyone through a series of videos on YouTube, so that everyone can get the gist of what we do (and hopefully you’d be enlightened too).

Two videos are already posted on YouTube, as follows:

  1. What is Event Management?
  2. The Three Phases of Events in the context of Event Managers

In the coming weeks, Sir Orly will show more about this field. Also, you can ask questions (I’m looking at you, fellow Team Labas) and learn from an Event Manager first-hand.

Before I cap off, let me inform you that I will be at:
